Celebrating Life and Service: Honoring Ulysses Daniels and Years of Transformation through God's grace

“The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these

brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.”

Matthew 25:40

Dear Family,

This past month we lost a man of action, and heaven gained a son. Ulysses Daniels, a dear brother in the Lord went to be with his King, but not before serving the “least of these”.

I met Ulysses in Plummer Community Corrections Center while doing bible studies on Thursday evenings.

We hit it off from the beginning as he had a deep love of Jesus and heart for serving. He would speak of all the things he was going to do upon his return to society. Many men do and never follow through. But not Ulysses; he “hit the ground running” with COPD none the less! In the last season of his life, he accomplished much for the Kingdom.

God used him in powerful ways to bring bible studies to those who couldn’t come to church, house men coming home from incarceration and many other things. He truly was a man who did for “the least of these” and it was an honor to know him.

Also, this last month, we were able to provide another service for Bowling Green Rehab! What a powerful time this was! We had Broken Beginnings Band in full effect making a joyful noise unto the Lord, preaching of the Word and a beautiful time of prayer at the end. One man responded at the end of the service with tears in his eyes, and I quote, “God blew my heart out!”. The Holy Spirit is at work in that place!

Lastly, I celebrated 11 years of sobriety and walking with Jesus on May 25th! This is also my son’s birthday who turned 5. I also received a full expungement of my record this month! God is so good! I cannot believe all the work God is doing, has done and will do! What a powerful God we serve!

We are currently looking for people and/or churches to partner with us in all that we do! If this is something that may interest you or someone you know, or you would like to know more, please reach out to set up a time to come and talk to you. We thank God for you all who support us! We know every move of God in this ministry you have an intimate part in. From the bottom of our hearts...THANK YOU!!

With the Love and Grace of our King,

The Santa Barbara Family & Broken Beginnings
