Our Mission and Purpose

“All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Matthew 28:18-20

It is our desire and determination to make disciples at Broken Beginnings. This is accomplished by the reading, teaching and preaching of the authoritative 66 books in the Word of God and practical application thereof (See 2 Timothy 3:16). Everything we do within this ministry is centered upon the gospel (see 1 Corinthians 15:1-7) and discipleship. The goal is for men and women to adopt a biblical worldview, be built up in the most Holy Faith (see Jude 20-21) and to conform to the image of Christ (see Romans 8:29).

Rooted in Transformation

From Brokenness to Calling: The journey of Pastor Tim

There are stories that only God can write—stories so full of redemption, love, and grace that they can only point back to Him. Pastor Tim’s journey is one of those sacred stories.

When Tim walked into Brandywine Valley Church for the first time, he had just been released from prison. Carrying the weight of his past and battling addiction, he showed up drunk—lost, ashamed, and unsure of what he might find. But instead of judgment or rejection, he was met with something unexpected: compassion, grace, and unconditional love.

The people of Brandywine welcomed Tim with open arms. They saw past his brokenness and recognized the person God was calling him to become. This embrace became the spark that would ignite a remarkable transformation.

In the quiet moments that followed, God began to reveal Himself to Tim in powerful ways. One day, in a moment that Tim describes as nothing short of divine intervention, he experienced a deep inner awakening. The taste for alcohol that once ruled his life was suddenly gone. In its place was a hunger for truth, purpose, and God’s presence.

Tim's heart began to heal. He started walking closely with the Lord, diving into Scripture, and surrounding himself with a new community of believers. As his faith deepened, so did his calling. He felt God tugging on his heart to share his story, to help others find hope in their own darkest moments. With prayerful discernment and the support of Brandywine Valley Church, Tim enrolled in theological school.

In 2021, the church that once welcomed him as a broken soul embraced him again—this time to ordain him as Pastor Tim. That day was a celebration of not only Tim’s incredible transformation but also of God's endless mercy and power to restore.

With the guidance and support of Pastor Robert Kossak, Pastor Tim went on to establish Broken Beginning Ministry—a beacon of hope for others who feel disqualified by their pasts. Through this ministry, he reaches out to those struggling with addiction, incarceration, and hopelessness, reminding them that God specializes in new beginnings.

Today, Pastor Tim stands not just as a pastor, but as a living testimony to the grace of God—a man once lost, now leading others to the One who found him.

Compassion, Empowerment, and Redemption

At Broken Beginnings Ministry, we uphold the values of compassion, empowering men to overcome their struggles, and providing a path to redemption. We are committed to aiding men in recovery from addiction, assisting the homeless to find shelter, and supporting ex-convicts in their reintegration journey.
